Poetry Friday 2

For audio click here

Three more poems from my collection, some teenage angst, some political angst and some middle aged angst.

Apart
The week
became a month
became a year
you changed your hair
I change my postcode.
Suddenly
we were strangers,
best friends
separated by
silence.

Political earthquakes
Tectonic plates
Minuscule movements
pressure builds
unnoticed.
Then
boom.
Shockwaves cause
maximum
destruction

SLEIGHT GREY
Not visible in a multitude of mirrors.
Drifting away
fading into obscurity.
Going,
going,
gone.
